Me, You, and Everyone We Know

I just had the opportunity to watch this movie by Miranda July. Purely Amazing. I love movies like this that just make ponder about everyday things. It made me realize how small the world is but yet we’re just dots in the universe. I just been thinking a lot about the different dynamics we’re in everyday and how we play these different roles. Sometimes we’re pleased with others and sometimes we’re not. We desire certain qualities in people and expect them to be responsive of our needs but for some reason, we’re always falling short. How hard is it to respond to a message? How hard is it to make plans? Why, as people, must we complicate everything in our lives? I don’t know about you, but I always feel like I have to go the extra mile to keep any relationship going. Perhaps we’re all just selfish beings. And when it’s convenient for them, I’ll have a place in their life. It reminds me of the song heavy lifting by Ambulance LTD, “Alone because my friends have places to go. My people have people to know. They’ll never seem so alone.” Yes, this is how it is like to have a conversation with me, I jump from topic to topic.
So, yeah me, you, and everyone we know.
